It happened in an instant, a different way of seeing.  If I hadn't allowed it's impact, it would have passed right by me.  As I entered a store, my eyes fell on a picture of a celebrity on the cover of a magazine amongst the deluge of magazines that beckon you to comparisons and competition, to a feeling of deference or a need to gossip.  This time, as I saw the smiling face, beaming success, I felt gratitude and a freedom of companionship.  Her happiness, which I chose to believe to be true, was adding to the field of being in which we are all a part.  That moment or life of happiness helps balance our consciousness, brings the energy of affirmation into the world which touches us all.

It was a different beckoning, this moment of gratitude, to find well being as a worthy endeavor in itself, no matter who you are, and what you earn, and how you live.  Well-being itself helps heal the brokenness of the world, binding together, through affirmation, our interdependent web.
